GigaFile is a Japanese free space that combines simple, free, and large-capacity file transfer services. It can be used immediately without registering an account. The online capacity for uploading is unlimited (but there is a maximum limit of 300 GB for individual files). There are no limits on download times or traffic. Users can manually set the expiration time for files, with a maximum retention period of 100 days. They can also set download passwords or manually delete files.
Overall, GigaFile can be considered a fully functional, fast, and almost unrestricted free service. This service is also supported by advertisements. However, the only downside is that GigaFile only has a built-in Japanese interface. If you are not proficient in Japanese, you can easily use a browser translator to convert the interface to Chinese.
Before starting, you can use the built-in "translation" function in your browser to convert the GigaFile Japanese page to a Chinese page.
After opening the GigaFile website, simply drag and drop the files you want to upload and share into the upload bar. Choose the file storage period from the options above (7 days, 14 days, 30 days, 60 days, 100 days), or click "Select File" below to upload. The maximum file size limit is 300 GB, and there is no limit on capacity.
If you want to notify the download recipient via email, switch to the "Email" function from the tabs above and send the download link via email. Since GigaFile does not require entering an email address, this function can be used according to personal needs.
After selecting the file retention period, drag the file to the GigaFile upload bar to start the transfer. After completion, the download link and delete button will be displayed. You can also set a "download password" to prevent others from accessing the file. GigaFile will also display the download deadline at the bottom, which is the expiration date of the download link. The file can only be downloaded within this period.
If you find the default GigaFile link too long, click "Shorten this download URL" to convert the URL to a shortened link.
When uploading multiple files at once (such as photos or videos), GigaFile can compress the files into a .zip file. After setting, you can choose whether to add a "download password". Finally, click the button next to it to convert all the files into a single compressed file for easier downloading.
GigaFile automatically checks for any hidden virus threats in the files. If you want to manually delete a file, simply scroll down on the download page.
To immediately delete the file, enter the key "delete" (the delete key is provided to the uploader when uploading the file).
